KSM Leaders Meeting

28th September KSM brought all signed leaders
from around the country together to evaluate 2010 so far and gather input on where the leaders think KSM should go in 2011. This was a successful event with leaders giving very valuable input into the future of KSM, stating how they would love such meeting to occur a few times in the year as it helped build solidarity and motivation in leaders sharing with each other.

Love Kampala Festival

Love Kampala Festival was an evangelism event headed by Andrew Palau a huge Evangelist from America. They came over to run a sports and Music Festival in the heart of Kampala. I was privileged to be called up to help in the sports ministry being made vise chairman of the committee and head of the sports gala We had two great events prior to the Festival, a sports gala in football, basketball, netball and volleyball with 32 teams and over 500 children and youth participating.

Secondly a dinner for the people in Uganda that have contributed to sports, from the nation football team the Cranes, the Minister of Education and Sport all the way down to the leaders of Christian Sports Charities. A wonderful event held at one of Uganda’s finest restaurants with 204 guests. (Me and Andre Palau Below)

Final the main festival itself running a mini soccer tournament for under 11’s and under 13’s great fun ended with some amazing Christian artists from around the world Papa San an RnB artist from Jamaica and Nicole C. Mullen the highlight. All the events had an evangelism aspect with Andrew Palau and a number of Christian world champion skate boarders and bmx’s giving there testimonies. Amazing to see thousands of people give there lives to Christ.
Since the Event i have stayed in good contact with Andrew Palau, we became friends throughout the Gala it surprised me how laidback he was. He invited me to be apart of a team next year that will be doing the same event in Burundi (east africa). I will just have to see how god guides me upto then.

Setta Sports Day

KSM was invited to Setta which is in between Kampala and Mukono districts to run a sports day for 800 children. The day
was ran by 28 leaders from 15 different church around Setta area involving praise and worship, dancing, teachings, food and two hours of sports. I had a team of 4 from different KSM projects and 1 other close friends of mine along for some fun. As we reached the venue the rain clowned came over so for the first 40 minutes we crammed into different class rooms and did chanting and games with blow-up balls not apart of the plan but worked well. Then once the rain stopped we broke the child up into 3 groups and did many different sports activities. Great fun and a wonderful experience.

Last Saturday 4th of September I went with a bunch of people to watch the first African Cup of nation’s qualifier of the new season Uganda vs. Angola. A mixed crowd of Ugandans, English, Americas and Irish in a little group of 12. Most of us all geared up UG T-Shirts on faces painted ready for the big match. If I am honest o don’t remember much of it as we were blowing listens dancing with the locals and cheering most of the time, kind of forgot to match the match itself. Was a great Uganda won 3-0 yessssssssssss Cup of Nations here we come.

Army of God’s Ministries Steps-Up

He have been with AOGM for a number of months slow building up there project and training there leaders. The church is in a village setting and is based on the outskirts of Kampala; it is very small with a congregation of around 50. They have been holding sports outreaches the last Saturday of every month with around 50-70 children but decided to take it up a new level and invited two schools to participate in the sports giving them just under 150 children last month with 10 leaders. It has been a huge development as the leaders of AOGM have to travel a long way walking mostly from the town centre just to come to the project.
