St Steven's Kisugu: King's Sports Ministry Uganda Project

Some Of The Fantastic Leaders Running St Stevens Kisugu KSMU Project

St Stevens Kisugu was the first official project of KSM. These kids are from the area surrounding the church, in a large community. They love sports we found them kicking balls or playing catch in ever small area we could find, so it was a exciting project to start. The project started back in May 2009 with around 100 children and 15 leaders. Over the rest of 2009 numbers raised to 150 children fluctuating each week but slowly increasing. Just last Saturday 13th February we kicked off the project for the 2010 season the kids now all back from the village after Christmas. A great turn out for the first week back of 80 kids.

We are very excited for 2010 and know many new faces will come into the project. We pray that it will grow and become a beacon in the community for children to come and learn about Jesus in a fun exciting way. The Next big challenge for the team here is growth. The team numbers are now around 8 with most of the leader in school away from Kampala or have found fulltime jobs which keep them busy on Saturdays. Please pray that we get a fresh crop of leaders ready to jump straight in and bring a refreshing and powerful buzz for all the children. By the end of 2010 we are look to the number of children to be over 200 a challenge we will strive to succeed.
